In cooperation with gynecologists, we have developed a preparation for learning to perform laparoscopic pectopexy and colpopexy. This training module helps to teach laparoscopic surgery of supporting the cervix or vagina. The module has been developed for classical pectopexy and colpopexy procedure, where the mesh is being sutured to the sacrum, and for Dr. Noé's method. The middle replaceable pad is used for classical procedure, while two side pads are employed in Dr. Noé's technique. It is also possible to use actual surgical meshes (made of polypropylene).

Quantity

We can choose one out of two replaceable pads inserted into the groin to practice the procedure of supporting either the cervix or the very vagina. There is a possibility to place fingers inside the vagina to check whether stitches did not pierce the material through. The training module includes a bar inserted into the vagina to adjust its position when the mesh is being attached. Replaceable suture pads are reusable as well. Their operational life depends on how we use them. The module’s design imitates the anatomy of pelvis minor. The training module is compatible with KROTON EXPERT and MEDIUM laparoscopic trainers.

Set of 5 polymer replacement inserts for the training model designed for learning pectopexy and colpopexy.

The model was developed in cooperation with gynecologists for training laparoscopic techniques used to suspend the cervix or vagina. It enables practice of pectopexy and colpopexy procedures as well as the development of suturing skills in simulated conditions.

The central replaceable pad is intended for training the classical pectopexy and colpopexy procedure. The two lateral pads are designed for exercises based on the technique developed by Dr. Noé.

The model can also be used with real surgical meshes, including polypropylene meshes.
